How does it work?

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

ApoyoCA collects items such as computers and household goods to aid children and families in Central America who are living in poverty. There are approximately 30 million people-the number of people in California- living in an area the size of Montana. Half of Central America’s population lives below the poverty line, and in rural areas two out of three people are poor.

Over 65% of those living in poverty are children 5 years old or younger.

Indigenous communities are particularly vulnerable to poverty because they have the lowest income levels and don’t have access to basic services such as education, health care and housing.
